Y I dont believe in me.

GOD CONFIDENCE
Why I don’t believe in me

If you understand English you will realize that the saying "believe in yourself" is more than a statement of self confidence but a belief or faith, In other words, a religious statement.

It is disguised as a statement of self confidence so that it is accepted globally as a means to liberate people from low self confidence but ultimately when the whole world has accepted it, it will be totally exposed as an antichrist religious statement. This has also been disguised in globally popular talk shows such as Oprah as "the triumph of human spirit" , sang by R kelly in I believe I can fly, expressed by Whitney Huston in the greatest love of all and popularized in a South African youth program called love life and many other motivational books

WE did not make ourselves nor for our own purpose or glory.  A human being's full potential can only be realized when He connects with the Heavenly Father, God, maker of mankind who knows every part of their being.

Even if hypothetically speaking we were to supposedly say the statement, "believe in yourself"  was about self confidence, true Christianity does not promote self confidence but GOD confidence. Meaning you must have confidence yes great confidence in that Christ is with you and THROUGH HIM and HIS power within you greatness can be achieved. Through you God can do great things.

In these last days Christians need to be very careful as the bible tells us that even the very elect may be deceived. 

If you are a believer and follower of Christ here are a few verses that can help you overcome this doctrine and spirit of antichrist.


Genesis 1:26
And God said let us make man in our own image he shall be like us...

Your original design was not designed to be yourself but be like God take after God, empowered by God, live by God, inspired by God directed by God connected to God.

Jesus explains this meaning and relationship when he said.

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing

Genesis 40:8
We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.

Genesis 41:16
 "I cannot do it," Joseph replied to Pharaoh, "but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires."

Genesis 48:19
They are the sons God has given me here," Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said, "Bring them to me so I may bless them.

Phillipians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who empowers me.

Cast not away your confidence in CHRIST in which there is great rewards.

Finally brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

GALATIANS 5: 10
I am confident IN THE LORD that you will take no other view....

Paul trusted that God will help Galatians to take no other view, he did not put trust not them.

Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

With God and Through God you will do things you would have never imagioned.

JAMES 4:13
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.”  14Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapour that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15⁠Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.” 16⁠But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil

GALATIANS 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me

Have faith IN GOD.
(NOT IN YOURSELF)

JOHN 12:44
Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.

Phillipians 2:13
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.




DAVID versus Goliath

To defeat giants in your life you Have to understand the mindset of David, a little boy  who defeated a 10 meter tall giant, won many battles and later grew to become a king of Israel. This is a true story. At that time there were nations in the world who experimented with science and witchcraft to produce giants.


1stSamuel 17:33-35
And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine(Goliath) to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” 34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I CAUGHT IT BY ITS BEARD and struck IT and killed IT.

(This blows my mind considering that he was relating the past and at that time he was not old enough to join the army how young was he when he did that?).....

So WHAT WAS HIS SECRET?
NB...VERSE37
And David said, “The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you!”

1st samuel 17: 45-45
Then David said to the Philistine(Goliath), “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with The javelin, but I come to you in the NAME OF THE LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day into the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear for the battle is the Lord's, and HE will give you into our hand.

Psalm 23:1
The LORD is my Shepherd I shall not want.

David through the Spirit of God writes that it is because the Lord is his shepherd that he does not want. He fears no evil because God is with Him.

PSALM 23:4
Though I walk I walk through the valley of the Shadow of death I will fear no evil FOR THOU ART WITH ME!!! <- this is not self confidence but God confidence.

At first he comes across self confident till he says for Thou art with me.

Ist Samuel 30

1 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that theAmalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; 2 And had taken the women captives , that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away , and went on their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives .4 Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept , until they had no more power to weep . 5 And David's two wives were taken captives , Ahinoam the Jezreelitess,and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. 6 And David was greatly distressed ; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved , every man for his sons and for his daughters:
but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.  7 And David said toAbiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. 8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying , Shall I pursue after thistroop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue : for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 9 So David went 

David the warrior who wrote the Psalm we just read, fought Goliath and won many wars had to consult God before attacking the Amalekites because he believed in God and not himself. ( by the way amalekites breeded giants for war.

THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME GIANTS WERE DEALT WITH


These men relied and measured themselves
Numbers 13 :31-33
But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

These men relied and measured their strength on God
Numbers14:7 – 8
And they spoke unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the LORD delight in us, then HE will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.


1 Kings 18:46
The power of the LORD came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran(on foot) ahead of Ahab ( on a chariot) all the way to Jezree.

Need I talk about Samson.

Every time he would defeat opponents the bible tells us, “and the power of the LORD came upon Samson”

Phillipians 3:10
That I may know HIM and the power that raised him from the dead....

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

2nd Cor 4:7
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

God designed us to live in harmony and unity with HIM so much so that He becomes the enabler, inspirer and empowerment in our lives. This is what Christianity is about, to restore the original relationship God originally intended for Human beings. This is what the bible is about, People who lived under the power and direction of God (Righteousness) and those who did not(sin). The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord.
When Adam ate the tree of the knowledge of self, witchcraft and became his own god, he became disconnected to God his Father so much so that the all knowing, all present God had to ask where he was. God was not asking about his geographic location but spiritual location. Adam was no longer under Gods radar. 

Today you are at the crossroads having to choose between the snake and Gods word. Today you are Adam or Eve   having to choose between the tree of life (believing in Christ) and the tree of knowledge (believing in your self ).

Our quest today should not to be ourselves, know our selves, or even believe in ourselves but in God, HIS son and the Holy Spirit. 

Psalm 82:6 even John 10:34 Jesus speaks about us being gods, but that is only if we are children of God because psalm 82:6 says BUT, you shall die like mere men and fall like one of the princes (fallen angels). This tells us that the state of being a son of God or god is changeable. Children of God the state of being like God is not permanent it is only on condition that we do Gods will like GOD.
Romans 8:13 and 14 explains the same.
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
In God we do not do as we please we do as God pleases instructs and commands. That is why they are called commandments and not advices you don’t have the option of not taking them. We did not make ourselves , God knows why He made us and how, it is only by His Spirit and Power that we can come to that purpose and will of God.
The Lords prayer again summarises this.
9After this manner therefore pray ye:
 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be YOUR name.
 10YOUR kingdom come, YOUR will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
 11Give us this day our daily bread.
 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For YOURS is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
It is HIS Kingdom, His will, His Power, His Glory.
He gives us the daily bread, He forgives,
He leads us to the paths of righteousness (away from temptation), He delivers from evil.

We do not live but Christ lives trough us.
We should decrease and He increase
We should daily exercise and get rid of our will and do His will.



Mathew 11:28 – 30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow ME. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.
Having said that Jesus does not want to burden you with rituals, laws and difficult life. He promises us that his yoke is easy.  He will give us the Spirit to live this life.
Phillipians 2:13
For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to HIS good purpose.
Again this shows us that its God not us.
 It is the evil ones plan to make Christ seem like a burden using religious leaders.
Matthew 23:4
They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. (Jesus said this)
Luke 11:46
Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law(of moses), woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
Jesus is your rest. He wants to give you rest. Let Him give
 Rest from struggling in life trying to find direction , motivation and a reason to live.
Let the Lord be your shepherd and he will lead you besides still waters and make you to lie down in green pastures.
Acts 17:28
In HIM we live and move and have our being.
Mathew 18:3
Unless you become like a child you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven.
Children are dependant , the only thing they care about is if their parent is around, they know that then everything will be taken care of such direction, provision, protection.
Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? 
   Have you not heard? 
The LORD is the everlasting God, 
   the Creator of the ends of the earth. 
He will not grow tired or weary, 
   and his understanding no one can fathom. 
29 He gives strength to the weary 
   and increases the power of the weak. 
30 Even youths grow tired and weary, 
   and young men stumble and fall; 
31 but those who hope IN THE LORD 
   will renew their strength. 
They will soar on wings like eagles; 
   they will run and not grow weary, 
   they will walk and not be faint.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This verse plainly shows us that God has HIS plans for us. While were busy making our plans we are supposed to be knowing HIS plans for us.
If we believe in ourselves we’ll make our own plans but if we believe in God we’ll find HIS plan for us.
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
Again we are not in control but God is, it is HIS purpose that will prevail. Gods design for humanity is for HIS purpose not ours. IF our plans will fail if they are not aligned to HIS purpose, how will believing in ourselves help us in making our plans successful?
Psalm 18:32
The Lord gives us strength.
Deuteronomy 7 : 17,18
If you say in your heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? You will not be afraid of them: but wil well remember what the LORD THY GOD did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt.
Judges 7:2
The LORD said to Gideon, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’
I Samuel 14:6

Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
